Description

Here we have a beautiful piece of history. 1954 Dodge M-37 B1 3/4 ton truck also called a “Weapons Carrier”. 80% Restored and have 85-90% of the parts needed to finish. This large and in charge 4 wheel pickup truck with a front winch weighs in at nearly 6000lbs, (Braden LU-420 PTO operated 7500lb cap). This resides right in front of the truck, which has a big steel grille, squared off design with wide hood and large fenders with exterior mounted headlights and small running boards under both doors for easy access. A deep pickup styled bed in full metal. Some stake sides create a higher boarder and allow for more cargo. Two small doors each side close to cab to store more ammo. The spare tire is mounted in bed, but originally mounted on door making it a “B1”. 16” steel wheels wrapped in standard military issued non-directional Mud-Snow tires. The B1 has a tough all metal interior with Diamond plate floor, 60/40 bench seat with storage underside. Windows roll down, windshields tilts out as well as folds down. Drivetrain under hood is a 230 cid L head Flat 6 cylinder power plant. Np-420 4 speed manual transmission. Np-200 transfer case with high and low level gear ratio. The rear axle is a full floating 5.83:1 with front universal drive. The Military Jeep in the pictures are an example of the his first restoration and after he finished he wanted to build another. He is a Military man, very knowledgeable and a restorer of many machines. With that said everything done is done right and to the book. All the boxes of parts extra original parts, new parts, white oak wood for side slats, books, manuals and restoration pictures go with the M-37 B1. Call or email for an appointment to come see this piece of history.
